Open Eyes and Arms…

I’m finally winding down from today. Clinicals was spent in the GI lab with my buddy Dave… we got to sit in and observe some pretty hefty and amazing procedures. It was a most excellent day because it gave me a bit more of a direction in determining what I want to do in nursing. I still don’t have all the answers, but I’ll get there.

This program has been a true eye-opener for me. It’s been challenging, frustrating, inspiring… but in the end it’s been more therapeutic than anything. I have my classmates (cohortmates?) to thank for motivating me to keep on keepin’ on. They unknowingly continue to give me the strength to face the next challenge with open eyes and arms.

I was able to snap a few pictures. I’m just now getting back into photography, and although I feel a bit hindered with my cellphone camera, I’m hoping that in time I’ll be able to capture more and more of what it’s like to be a nursing student.

And here’s a picture of one of the more interesting hallways in the hospital. I love hallways.

I’m going to hit the books for a while and hopefully crash as I study. I’ll try to fall asleep with my face firmly planted in the book… maybe that will help the information seep into my head.
